what keeps coaches making 200K$ per year up at night

(hint: it's a far cry from what you think)

I recently interviewed 63 coaches making $100-200K annually about their biggest worries.

Their answers shocked me.

Because it wasn't about:

  • Finding their next client

  • Closing more sales

  • Or even delivering better results

In fact, what keeps them up at night is the complete opposite of what struggling coaches worry about.

(I'll reveal exactly what it is in a moment...)

But first, let me share the 5 counterintuitive habits I discovered when analysing their LinkedIn strategy.

1. The Success Paradox

Most coaches think they need to post more when they need clients.

But after analysing these KPI’s (key people of influence), I discovered something fascinating:

They were most active when they were FULLY BOOKED.

2. The Authority Pattern

Want to know what keeps successful coaches up at night?

They lie awake thinking about:

  • The grand-slam insights they haven't shared yet

  • The client transformations they haven't documented

  • The wisdom that's still locked in their heads

Pro Tip: My private clients use what I call the "Transform & Share" method

- turning every client session into 3 pieces of LinkedIn content.

(More on this next week...)

3. The Implementation Framework

Here's what I teach my coaching clients to do:

1. Document ONE insight from their last client session

2. Turn it into a story using my "AHA Framework" (Authority, Humility, Action)

3. Share it within 24 hours

4. The Mindset Shift

99% of coaches see LinkedIn as a marketing tool.

Top performers see it as a documentation tool.

This simple mindset shift changes everything:

  • Your energy becomes magnetic

  • Your content flows naturally

  • Your results compound over time

5. Your Action Plan (Do This Today)

1. Open your notes app

2. Write down ONE insight from your last client session

3. Share it on LinkedIn in the next 24 hours

Don't overthink it.

Your first "proper" post won't be perfect

But it will be the start of your new success story.

TL;DR: The 5 Key Takeaways

The best coaches aren’t worried about getting clients

→ they worry about not sharing their best insights.

Here’s how they stay top of mind without chasing leads:

  1. Stay visible even when fully booked

  2. Turn client insights into content

  3. Use LinkedIn to document, not just market

  4. Share consistently instead of overthinking

  5. Maximise trust into momentum that compounds

And you know what’s cool?

I just used this exact framework to write this email.

Now try it yourself.

Until next week,
